The Last Unicorn Tote Bag
This design was created using a tapestry by an unknown artist from the late 1400s as a starting point. The tapestry, known as "Unicorn in Captivity", is one of several unicorn tapestries which have enchanted people for centuries. I grew up in the 80s and 90s so I put my own twist on it, recreating it as "The Last Unicorn" in purple by using a solar printing method to put the purple design on the leather. I then embossed the design and added flowers and butterflies as well. The final result is a magical unicorn, one of a kind, made permanently in leather. The canvas for the bag was hand dyed a rich purple. Dark silver leather handles with brass rivets and handmade leather label complete the bag, which is lined in bright yellow linen, and closes with a wooden button. Several interior pockets and a key holder.
