Cher's Closet Bag
Who else is still waiting for the closet and computer from Clueless to drop? ππ»ββοΈClueless is one of my favorite 90s movies. Bag is inspired by Cher Horowitz's iconic closet, including her "most responsible outfit" for her driving test (sheer white blouse). Fun fact, Clueless is based on the plot of Emma, by Jane Austen.
The bag combines ancient and modern textile technology. Vintage linen was first dyed using turmeric, then sun printed using solar reactive dye, doll clothes, vintage lace, and leaves and flowers from my garden. Then it was further embellished with hand embroidery, vintage lace and tiny vintage buttons., and transformed into its final form as this zippered bag.
