Second generation Arkansas artist.
Rosie Rose grew up in the artist hamlet of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, raised in the rich environment of clay mixed with silk, being the daughter of a fabric artist and a potter/sculptor. Her mother Jenny Gies was a renowned batik artist, and her father was Lynn Williams, the well-remembered creator of the small porcelain moons, stars, winds, and other celestial beings, as well as clay castles & dragons.
In her early arts career, Rosie mainly worked in the medium of jewelry, and became a fairly well known beaded jewelry artist in her early 20s. She segued into an apprenticeship with a clothing designer and spent several years learning the craft before beginning her own clothing line in 2011.
Originally Rosie's line was sold through a large crafting conglomerate which shall not be named, under the shop name Deconstructika. As her line began to expand into gowns and custom clothing, the name didn't seem to fit anymore. And it seemed everyone remembered her most by her own name, Rosie Rose, so she changed her brand name to Rosie Rose Designer.
Rosie has taken part in 8 Northwest Arkansas Fashion Weeks, as well as numerous other shows and events in Arkansas. She uses positive messaging and inclusion to challenge beauty standards, working toward a world where all people feel beautiful.
Rosie also has been finding time to express herself through painting recently. Her original watercolors are available under the Cards & Prints section.
Rosie and her husband Chris live in the wild forest near Eureka Springs, with their 3 wild children.
