Women's Work, original watercolor painting
Original watercolor painting by Rosie Rose, signed and dated by the artist.
Dimensions: 11" x 14"
About the art:
"Women's Work"
Named after the Kate Bush song "This Woman's Work", and in the same sentiment... This piece is dedicated to all women and the ways their bodies are used, or misused, in the most intimate of ways; to often become a footnote in the biography of a man as "his" mother, wife, or lover; to be degraded or shamed after the fact; to have their contributions minimized or forgotten altogether; to have little control over their own bodies or have to battle men for control at every turn.
"I stand outside,
this woman's worth,
This woman's world.
Oh, it's hard on a man."
Painted using a combination of transparent and opaque pastel watercolors.
Framing options:
Paintings can be purchased unframed, which will come in a plastic sleeve, or framed with a white mat for an additional $25 (see product photos for a mock-up version of framing; real frame will be extremely similar.)
